Pegging in the mainstream

I’m always surprised by pegging coming up in mainstream media. It is becoming more common in the same way chastity is finding its way into the mainstream.

I was going to compile a whole list with links, but look, I’m up against the deadline for posting today (I nearly forgot!), so I’m just putting out what I had in the depths of my 180+ drafts (it’s a mess in there). Don’t judge me!

This in Cosmopolitan magazine from 2016 where they interview three men, one of whom identifies as submissive:
“I’m a Straight Guy Who Loves Pegging”.

Then Cosmo did another article in 2018 on pegging positions, but there was no F/m in it:
“5 Perfect Sex Positions for Pegging Your Man”.

They even did one from four women’s perspectives *gasp*, fancy that revolutionary idea:
“4 Women Explain What It’s Really Like to Peg Your Partner”

There was pegging in mainstream film also:

If you know of others (I’m positive there’s more!), please link me in the comments. I’d love to see them :).

  1. I hadn’t picked on this trend, but until recently, I thought pegging was an alternative term for clothes pins. Insinuate as you please as to the origin of my oblivion.

    1. Ha! The first time I heard ‘pegging’ I thought that also. We call clothes pins ‘pegs’ here and I thought it was some kind of play with pegs. Because logic.

It’s a newish word, coined by Dan Savage.

      Thanks for the links :).
