A braingasm of femdom posts

What’s the collective noun for a relentless bunch of femdom blog posts in a row?

I settled on ‘a braingasm’, but maybe ‘an insult’, ‘an authority’, ‘an order’, ‘a shitstorm’, ‘a salubriosity’ (is SO a word!)?

Anyway, I’M DOING IT THIS MONTH.

The fabulous Hyacinth over at A Dissolute Life Means is running an #EveryDamnDayInJune blogging meme, which she does every year and which I’ve never joined. You can find links to folks who are joining in at the bottom of that post linked in the hashtag there.

I like the idea of ‘forced writing’ (is this a kink?!), which can sometimes help to jog me out of a slump, and I also like that there are no topics or prompts (which I am bad at). It’s just ‘write a thing every day’.

I am, of course, wholly unprepared. I do not have content scheduled into the future like many proper bloggers. I do have some 200 drafts sitting back there somewhere, and I will doubtless shake the dust off some of those out, smack them into some kind of shape, and lay them on the stoop this month. But most will be off-the-cuff.

I can’t promise quality, but you’re at least going to get quantity. So yay? :D

Speaking of ‘forced’ anything, I’m also running (another) 12 week workout challenge with twitter folks. Not least because the lockdown and general malaise has seen me sitting on my couch staring at a wall more often than I’d like. It starts June 1st (it’s already June 2nd here, so most of y’all are already behind :P).

It is the hunger games of workout challenges, with cruel and brutal culling and a total lack of mercy. Bwuhahahahhaha! If you’re following me over there, you still have time to join.

Here’s a thread with all the details: #FernsWorkoutChallenge.

I’m going to add this because I can’t say NOTHING or pretend everything is fine: What is going on in the US right now is horrific and devastating, and it’s heartbreaking to watch. God knows we have our own appalling history and current issues with racism here, but in this, I’m a foreign white woman whose opinion should in no way be centred. Posting about my anger and sadness, my feelings is not productive or helpful, but to say nothing and just carry on when the US is literally burning seems tone-deaf and callous.

I’ll just say this: #BlackLivesMatter.

If my saying that offends you, please just close the window and move on. I am utterly uninterested in hearing ‘the other side’, will not be ‘debating’ it, and I will be deleting comments that attempt to do that.

I’m using my reach on twitter to boost black voices, educational resources, places to donate, and talents, so please follow if you want to learn and help.

Having got that out, this blog, these 30 days of posts, my twitter feed, my other social media, all of them will be content that provides a respite from the world, a little sanctuary of femdom and sweetness.

Not because I don’t care about what’s going on, but because we need that space to have a breather in times of badness, because light is important in times of darkness, because sometimes what you need is a cute picture of a puppy or sexy thoughts of femdommery.

I need it. And maybe you do also. I’m here for you.

Welcome to a June braingasm of posts, so many posts!

  1. Wow. Funny. Tragic. Inspired. Soulful. BLM. There is a conversation about how we get out of this mess, but I agree 199% that there is absolutely no “other side”.

I look forward to June. Also, braingasm is genius.

  2. We definitely need a respite from the horrific goings on around the world. Definitely agree with your thoughts on Black Lives matter.

I’m also hoping to be inspired to action by your workout challenge. I’ve become lazy under lockdown!

    1. I think we’ve ALL become lazy under lockdown. Those folks who are suddenly doing all the hard work are surely the outliers!

      Welcome to the #FernsWorkoutChallenge :).

        1. Heh. Well you did say ‘new posts’ and not ‘amazing posts’, so I think your expectations are about right :P.

  3. I almost wish I hadn’t seen that video on the TV news. Truly horrible and upsetting. No wonder people want to rise up and shout against racism. How can there possibly be another side to THAT!
I also need Braingasm (femdom) – a great antidote.
